Nate Hlozek scored 15 points, and George Brown added 10 to lead host Franklin Regional to a 61-45 victory over Norwin at the Mike Rettger Memorial Tournament on Wednesday night. Franklin Regional (3-1) used a 17-10 run in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
Curtis Perez had 15 points for Norwin (2-2).
Blackhawk 49, A llderdice 47 — Cole Chiappealle hit a 3-pointer with three seconds left to give Blackhawk (1-2) a nonsection win. Chandler Kincade scored 14 points for the Cougars. Jordan Smith had 17 for Allderdice (1-3).
Central Valley 51, Connellsville 27 — Central Valley used a 20-7 run in the third quarter to pull away for a nonsection win. Brian Kolich led the Warriors (2-1) with 13 points, including three 3-pointers. Trent Bauer had 10 points for Connellsville (1-3).
Elizabeth Forward 75 , Frazier 58 — Jaquan Davidson scored 28 points in leading Elizabeth Forward (2-2) to a nonsection win. Charlie Manack had 22 points and 10 rebounds for Frazier (1-2).
New Brighton 80, Western Beaver 54 — Kalib Williams had 19 points, and Craig Thompson had 18 to lead four players in double figures for New Brighton (3-1), which earned a nonsection win. Nick Miller scored 24 points for Western Beaver (1-3).
North Catholic 77, Southmoreland 29 — Danny Savulchak scored 20 points to lead North Catholic (2-1) to a nonsection win. Dominick Robb and Pat Rielly added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Carmichaels 53, Beth-Center 35 — Brandon Lawless had 19 points, and Sean Smoggie scored 16 to pace Carmichaels (4-0) in a nonsection win.
Greensburg Central Catholic 79, Sto-Rox 56 — Brian Graytok had 31 points, and Zach Herman added 21 to lead Greensburg Central Catholic (3-0) to a nonsection win. Makil Allen's 14 points paced three scorers in double figures for Sto-Rox (0-3).
Burgettstown 65, South Side Beaver 55 — Josh Mack scored 20 points to guide Burgettstown (3-2) to a nonsection victory. Jon Magusiak had 24 points for South Side Beaver (0-2).
Union 83, Summit Academy 53 — Union opened on a 29-8 run, and Markel Peace had a game-high 26 points to lead the Scotties (3-1) to a nonsection win.
Jefferson-Morgan 58, Mapletown 51 — Travis Taylor scored 22 points, and Rece Henneman added 19 to lead Jefferson-Morgan (1-2) to a nonsection win. Dereck Riggleman had 26 points for Mapletown (0-3).
Pine-Richland 51, Riverside 50 — Caitlin McMaster had 16 points to lead Pine-Richland (2-2) to a nonsection win. Nicole Mansfield had 24 to pace Riverside (0-4).
Belle Vernon 69, McGuffey 57 — Jessica Slagus scored 21 points and had 18 rebounds to lead Belle Vernon (3-0) to a nonsection win. Sammie Weiss had 24 points for McGuffey (3-1).
Avella 47, Burgettstown 34 — Olivia English scored 15 points as Avella (2-2) won a nonsection game. Kristan Roye had 17 for Burgettstown (0-2).
Central Catholic 41, Fox Chapel 28 — Ron Seibert (132 pounds), Justin Alexander (138), Chris Nuss (145), Sam Fallon (182) and Zach Deluca (285) had pins to lead No. 8 Central Catholic to a Class AAA, Section 3-B win. Richard Giovenetti (195) had a pin for Fox Chapel.
Burrell senior running back Cole Bush gave a verbal commitment to St. Francis (Pa.). Bush (6-foot-2, 220 pounds) ran for 1,794 yards and 33 touchdowns this season — both single-season school records — as the Bucs finished 8-2.
