'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Montour athletic director Lou Cerro said Saturday he expected boys basketball coach Adam Kaufman to accept a job offer from Moon.

Kaufman, a 1997 Montour graduate, coached the Spartans for six seasons, won two WPIAL titles and reached the state final twice.

At Moon, he would replace Jeff Ackermann, who was recently ousted after 13 seasons.

Kaufman couldn't be reached.
