'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Most are Americans working for money and/or drugs. This series reports how their operations have a major impact on life for residents and the environment along the border — and beyond.

The WPIAL basketball championships will move to Petersen Events Center next season, not a year later as the Board of Control incorrectly stated Monday.

The WPIAL agenda and meeting discussion included 2015-16 and 2016-17 for leaving Palumbo Center.

“That was wrong,” said WPIAL executive director Tim O'Malley, listing the correct championship dates now as Feb. 27-28, 2015, and Feb. 26-27, 2016.

Boys basketball finals have been played at Palumbo Center since 1995. The only exception was 2006, when the finals were split between Palumbo Center and Petersen Center.
