Dylan Knopsnider is a sophomore cornerback for the Connellsville Falcons. Knopsnider has earned a spot in the starting lineup in Connellsville's secondary and has one interception this season.

Q: What was your main goal as you entered camp as a sophomore several months ago?

A: I just wanted to get a starting position on varsity. I got the chance to play defense, and I just made the best of it.

Q: What do you enjoy the most about playing defense?

A: I like being physical. I like the hitting.

Q: Connellsville has just two wins, but can still make the playoffs with two wins in its final two regular-season games. What is the key to picking up those two victories, beginning with Friday's home game against Latrobe?

A: We have to come out and practice hard and show more emotion on the field. If we do that, it will pay off.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: Math. It's natural for me and I understand it.

Q: What is your favorite movie?

A: “The Blind Side.” It shows how a kid can convert himself into something.

Q: What's your favorite food?

A: Spaghetti.

Q: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?

A: I always wanted to go to the Bahamas or somewhere in the Caribbean.

Q: What's the best advice you have received?

A: Always go as hard as you can and never quit. Never give up.

Q: What is your favorite team?

A: The Arizona Cardinals. I'm a Larry Fitzgerald fan from when he was at Pitt, and I just converted over.

Q: Who inspires you?

A: My mom. She has always been there for me.
