North Catholic players, coach recognized on all-state team

Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic continues to reap the benefits of a championship season. Just days after capturing the school's first PIAA football championship, three Trojans were named to the Pennsylvania Football Writers all-state team for Class A and Bob Ravenstahl was named coach of the year.
Junior quarterback PJ Fulmore (athlete), senior Ryan Long (offensive line) and senior Jarred Fragapane (defensive line) were honored Thursday. Other Class A selections from the WPIAL included Sto-Rox senior Lenny Williams (quarterback), Apollo-Ridge junior Tre Tipton (defensive back) and Monessen senior Clintell Gillaspie (athlete).
Four defensive players from the WPIAL were selected in Class AAA: Indiana's Darrious Carter (defensive line), Thomas Jefferson senior Chase Winovich (linebacker), West Allegheny senior Tory Delmonico (linebacker) and New Castle senior Malik Hooker (defensive back).
All-state teams for Class AAAA and AA were announced Wednesday.
