'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. North Hills hired Kevin Deitrick to be the district's athletic director, replacing longtime AD Dan Cardone, who resigned earlier this summer. Deitrick was the assistant director of student services at Duquesne University, working mostly with the men's basketball program. The Bishop Canevin grad also spent 10 years in various positions at Upper St. Clair and North Allegheny.
