Tyler Haddock announces his presence in a big way, whether it's with his exuberant personality or passionate play. The 6-foot, 281-pound tackle, a Temple recruit, had 65 tackles, eight sacks and three forced fumbles as a junior for the WPIAL Class AAA champions. After missing four games with a fractured heel, he's starting for the No. 1 Spartans.

Q: How did you get hurt?

A: I got hurt in the second scrimmage, against Seton-La Salle. I was run-blocking and I stepped right and my right guard blocked the tackle into my left heel. It was a chipped talus bone and fractured heel. It was pretty painful. It was pretty bad because I had to miss the Central Valley game on ROOT Sports. I was really looking forward to that.

Q: How are you disruptive?

A: Me being a nose tackle and being as heavy as I am, they're not used to seeing it. You have to double-team me, and when you do that you're leaving the linebacker free to get to the running back or quarterback.

Q: Why did you decide to slim down from 300?

A: I don't know where I'll play next year. I could play end, nose tackle or defensive tackle. I'm keeping my weight down and staying in shape. We have certain plays where I play defensive end, so it's pretty sweet. I just drink a lot of water. It helps me. Cutting down on the juice and pop makes a big difference.

Q: Where does your high motor come from?

A: I get it from my mom, Sharon Mitchell. She has a lot of energy. She's a nurse, but she played volleyball when she was younger. I get my enthusiasm from her.

Q: How did you come up with @iSack75 on Twitter?

A: It was @QBKillah at one point. A lot of people call me ‘Sapp,' like Warren Sapp. I look up to him a lot. I like his excitement, what he brings to the game: speed and power. If you watched him play, you could tell he loves the game.

Q: What is like to block for two different quarterbacks?

A: I play right tackle and look at who's in and how to block for them. Tynen Greer makes plays with his legs. We have to hold on a lot longer for Tynen. Ryan Mihelcic is more of our gunslinger who will sit in the pocket and pick a team apart.

Q: Can Montour repeat its success of last season?

A: I think we can go farther than last year. I think we can win a state championship. Everybody thought we wouldn't be as good because we lost all that talent, but we brought back a lot of talent.
