'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Darius Holloway rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns, and Denzel Sherrill added 128 rushing yards on eight carries, as Penn Hills (3-4, 3-3) earned a 35-7 win over Plum (0-7, 0-7) in the Quad Central Conference on Friday. Jacob Digulio had the lone score for Plum on a 9-yard run.

Baldwin 27, Fox Chapel 20 — Nicholas Barca's 18-yard touchdown run with 2:54 left lifted Baldwin (2-5, 1-5) to a nonconference win at Fox Chapel (1-6, 1-4). Dorian Brown paced Baldwin with 139 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Brandon Mitchell rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown, and Nigel Garnett added 104 rushing yards for Fox Chapel.
