Leader Times Roundup: Kittanning softball finishes with win

Kittanning's softball team made its final game a quick one.
Terra Schall tripled, doubled twice and scored three times to lead the Wildcats to a 15-0 nonsection win over St. Joseph in their season finale Wednesday afternoon.
Alexis Adams had four of the 18 hits by Kittanning (10-6), and Jordan Emminger added a double. Emily Kutch did not allow a hit by St. Joseph (3-12).
Freeport 10, Riverview 0 (5 inn.) — Alyssa Meta struck out seven while pitching a two-hitter, and Ashley Sample had three hits and two RBI in a nonsection playoff tuneup for Freeport.
Meta also had three hits, and Emily Lindsey, Karlie Hill and Alexis Roenigk hit doubles for Freeport (11-6), which had an 8-0 lead after the first inning.
Hannah Larkin took the loss for Riverview (11-7), a Class A playoff qualifier.
