Shady Side Academy sending 16 to swim at PIAA meet

Shady Side Academy will be sending a total of 16 swimmers to this weekend's WPIAL Class AA championships.
“It should be a fun and interesting meet,” SSA coach John Landreth said.
“We have a lot of opportunities to capitalize on.”
The qualifying swimmers are:
Freshmen
Caroline Colville — 200 and 500 free; 200 and 400 free relays.
Lindsey Miller — 100 breaststroke.
Karen Shi — 100 and 200 free; 200 medley and 400 free relays.
Jacob Sarner — 200 medley relay.
Sophomores
Emily Jaffe — 100 butterfly; 200 medley, 200 and 400 free relays.
Brendan Leech — 200 free and 100 backstroke; 200 and 400 free relays.
Andrew Lehman — 200 free and 100 backstroke; 200 and 400 free relays.
Ben Skinner — 500 free; 200 medley relay.
Juniors
Frank Benckart — 200 medley relay.
Jason Weis — 200 and 500 free; 200 medley relay.
Seniors
Destin Groff — 100 butterfly and 100 free; 200 medley and 400 free relays.
Maggie Leech — 200 IM and 100 butterfly; 200 free and 400 free relays.
Maria Marcos — 100 breaststroke.
Ali Sarner – 100 backstroke; 200 medley, 200 and 400 free relays.
Thad Ellis — 50 and 100 free; 200 and 400 free relays.
Ryan Koul — 50 and 100 free; 200 and 400 free relays.
