The Devils re-signed 42-year-old Jaromir Jagr to a one-year deal worth $3.5 million in base salary and $2 million more if he plays in 45 games next season, according to Sportsnet.

The winger was the team's MVP this year after leading it in assists, points, game-winning goals and plus-minus.

• Jagr, the Hurricanes' Manny Malhotra and the Rangers' Dominic Moore are the finalists for the Masterton Trophy, given annually β€œto the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey.”
