The Devils re-signed 42-year-old Jaromir Jagr to a one-year deal worth $3.5 million in base salary and $2 million more if he plays in 45 games next season, according to Sportsnet.

The winger was the team's MVP this year after leading it in assists, points, game-winning goals and plus-minus.

• Jagr, the Hurricanes' Manny Malhotra and the Rangers' Dominic Moore are the finalists for the Masterton Trophy, given annually “to the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey.”
