NHL notebook: Gretzky, Caps haven't talked about front-office job

Wayne Gretzky has not talked to the Capitals about the possibility of returning to the NHL in a management position, TSN reported.

The New York Post reported there is “mutual interest” between Gretzky and the team.

• TSN reported former Predators coach Barry Trotz met with the Capitals on Tuesday.
