• In the Allegheny Valley Rifle League on Feb. 9, Butler (9-3) defeated Fort Hand (3-9), 1,168-1,132, and Clymer (7-5) won 1,168-1,158 over Murrysville (5-7) in the A-team standings. In the B-team division, Butler (9-3) beat Fort Hand (3.5-8-5), 1,152-1,080, and Clymer (10-2) won 1,156-1,080 over Murrysville (1.5-10.5). Murrysville's Ray Harvey was the high individual with a 295. Murrysville's John Funk was the high senior (294), and Clymer's Kate Metzger was the high junior and female (290).
• In the Pittsburgh and Suburban Rifle League on Jan. 31, Frazier-Simplex (9-1) beat Allegheny (3-6), 1,481-1,448; Dormont-Mt. Lebanon (8-1) won 1,473-589 over Murrysville (2-7); and Green Valley (2-7) beat Irwin Post 228 (4-6), 1,452-1,386. Dormont-Mt. Lebanon's Dean Drew was the high individual (299), Murrysville's Katie Frye was the high junior and female (294), and Frazier-Simplex's Jim Mounts was the high senior (297).

• California Hill Gun Club holds sporting clays and five-stand shoots Sundays from 9 a.m.-noon. All are open to the public. Call 724-938-3480.
• Sporting clays is closed for the winter at West Penn Sportsmen's Club, but five stand is open Thursdays from 5-8 p.m. and from 10 a.m.-noon on Sundays. Cost is $5 for 25 targets for members. Nonmembers are $6 per round.

• East Huntingdon Sportsmen's Association has trap practice at 7 p.m. Mondays. Cost is $3 for a round of 25 birds. The public is welcome. The club also has an indoor archery league with shoots Monday nights. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with shooting starting at 7 p.m. Club membership is not required to shoot. • Pony Farm Sportsmen's Club in Kittanning has open trap nights at 6 p.m. Fridays. The public is welcome to use the lighted ranges. The full kitchen is open for all events.
