Rifle/trap leagues

• Just a few weeks to go and there's still a race in the Twi-Night Trap League.

This past week, when 20 of 137 shooters recorded perfects scores of 25, host team Connellsville, Youngwood and Hecla all tied for first with 197s. Ruffsdale finished with a 194 and East Huntingdon had a 189.

That gives Youngwood 92 points for the season and, barring a total collapse, the league title. Connellsville has pretty much locked up second place with 79 points while Hecla has third with 66.

Ruffsdale moved into a tie for fourth with East Huntingdon. Both have 4612 points.

This Thursday's shoot will be at Ruffsdale Gun Club.
