Steelers WR Antonio Brown could be headed to 'Dancing with the Stars'
Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown has shown off some entertaining touchdown dances over the past few years.
But the big question is: Can he cha-cha?
The world might find out soon on the ABC reality series “Dancing with the Stars.”
The website pureDWTS.com picked up the first clues suggesting Brown could be part of the show's upcoming 22nd season, starting in March. The website pointed out that Brown is following the Twitter accounts of professional dancer Sharna Burgess and “Dancing With the Stars.” Burgess is one of the more popular dancers on the show.
Steelers officials — who are in Indianapolis for the NFL Scouting Combine — said they were unaware of Brown possibly competing on the show and referred questions to Brown's agent, Drew Rosenhaus. Rosenhaus did not confirm Brown's participation, but he did suggest checking back “in a few days.”
The “Dancing with the Stars” cast won't be revealed until March 8 on ABC's “Good Morning America.”
If Brown is part of the cast, he will be the second active Steelers player to appear in the long-running series. Hines Ward and his partner, Kym Johnson, won the Season 12 competition in 2011.
The series has aired twice a year since 2006.
