The Cleveland Browns have had only two winning seasons since their return to the NFL in 1999. But despite starting the season by losing five in a row and eight of 10, linebacker D'Qwell Jackson believes that after a 20-14 win over the Steelers on Sunday, the Browns will win their final five games to finish the season at 8-8.

“I don't have a doubt that we can win out,” Jackson said.

The Browns have games left at home against Washington and Kansas City and road games against Oakland, Denver and the Steelers.

“It's not going to be easy,” Jackson said. “We are going to have to come to work every day and grind every day.”

• Quarterback Brandon Weeden was knocked from the game in the fourth quarter and didn't return when his head hit tackle Joe Thomas' leg after being knocked to the ground. Cleveland coach Pat Shurmur said Weeden was being treated for a concussion.

• The Browns planned to give away a white inflatable flag with the team logo to fans. However, the organization reconsidered after criticism that the international symbol for surrender was being used as a promotional giveaway for a 2-8 team. Browns owner Jimmy Haslam said it wasn't his decision to cancel the promotion. “I was not involved with that decision. To me, that was a lot to do about nothing,” Haslam said.

• The Browns were aware the Steelers were down to their third quarterback in Charlie Batch, but that didn't alter their game plan. “We didn't adjust it,” said nose tackle Phil Taylor, who had a sack and a fumble recovery. “Any given day, any quarterback can light it up. We approach every quarterback like they are the starter.”

• Cornerback Sheldon Brown (5-foot-10, 200 pounds) was called for interfering with Steelers wide receiver Plaxico Burress (6-5, 232) in the end zone with seven seconds left in the first half. Brown, who finished with an interception and a pass defensed, wasn't happy with the call. “I asked the official if he thought a little guy like me is going to knock a big guy like that down?” Brown said. “It makes no sense to me when they throw the flags like this.”

• A week after being penalized 12 times against Dallas, the Browns were called for 10 penalties for 90 yards, including three holding calls within a span of four plays late in the third quarter.
