Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was limited in practice Friday and will miss Sunday's AFC North matchup against Baltimore with shoulder and rib injuries.

Roethlisberger, having one of the best seasons of his nine-year career, will sit for the third week in a row. He will be replaced by 15-year veteran Charlie Batch, who tossed three interceptions in a 20-14 loss at Cleveland last weekend.

Receiver Antonio Brown, who has sat out four games with an ankle injury, said he will play. Brown and All-Pro safety Troy Polamalu (calf) practiced Friday and are listed as probable. Polamalu hasn't played since re-injuring his right calf Oct. 7.

“I'm feeling pretty good and looking forward to Sunday,” said Brown, who hasn't played since suffering an ankle injury in 27-12 win over Washington in which he had seven catches for 76 yards. “I'm definitely sore, and I'm feeling it right now but I'm making it on spirit.”

• Linebacker LaMarr Woodley (ankle) and tackle Mike Adams (ankle) also will miss the rematch with the Ravens. Rookie seventh-round pick Kelvin Beachum will replace Adams, and Jason Worilds will fill in for Woodley at left outside linebacker. Guard Willie Colon (knee) and receiver Jerricho Cotchery (ribs) were limited in practice, and both are questionable. Defensive tackle Casey Hampton (illness) and tackle Max Starks (back) are probable.

• A judge awarded $1.2 million to linebacker Larry Foote, who says he was the victim of bogus valet contracts at Detroit-area shopping malls. Attorney Jim Acho says Foote invested more than $400,000 with two men who claimed to have parking contracts. But there were no such deals. Foote, a Detroit native, filed a lawsuit in Wayne County Circuit Court. Under Michigan law, financial damages can be tripled.

• Cornerback Keenan Lewis, who will have his hands full with Baltimore receivers Torrey Smith and Anquan Boldin, leads the NFL with 19 passes defended. “Our corners are playing better than any others in the league,” safety Will Allen said. “Teams can't go outside on us.” Lewis is fourth on the team in tackles, including 46 unassisted. “The last time we played the Ravens, they came after me a lot,” Lewis said. “They were wondering who was the new kid on the block. Ike (Taylor) has been shutting down their best receivers for years, so they got go after somebody.”

• Ravens coach John Harbaugh is sensitive to the kind of quarterback controversy facing his brother, San Francisco coach Jim Harbaugh. The 49ers are deciding whether to keep Colin Kaepernick in the lineup instead of usual starter Alex Smith. “If there's a head coach in the NFL who's qualified to understand the feelings and the motivations of a quarterback, I'd say he'd be the one,” John Harbaugh said. “He's been through it.”
