A West Virginia man died in an all-terrain vehicle accident Friday night, state police in Greene County said.

The man, 21, who wasn't named, was driving the ATV on Blockhouse Run Road in Gilmore around 9:50 p.m. Friday when the vehicle hit a dog and flipped over, according to a statement from police.

The man was thrown from the ATV onto the road and killed.
