'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. DENVER -- Xavier Nady is in Pittsburgh with his wife and newborn son, and will be out of the Pirates' lineup until Saturday.

Tuesday night, Nady's wife Meredith gave birth to their first child (Xavier, 8 pounds, 14 ounces). Mom and child are doing fine.

Nady will fly here tomorrow and is expected to arrive in time for the game against the Rockies.
