Another member of Joe Paterno's old coaching staff is staying put.

Linebackers coach Ron Vanderlinden has been retained by new coach Bill O'Brien, players said after meeting with O'Brien on tonight.

O'Brien on Saturday announced he retained defensive line coach Larry Johnson.
