'American Coyotes' Series

Holy moly, talk about being out of touch: The Washington Post's Jonathan Capehart says President Barack Obama should bring lame-duck Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell into his inner circle "to pull his presidency out of its downward spiral."

Mr. Capehart cites Mr. Rendell's record of "inventive" solutions in addressing the Keystone State's problems. What, exploding the debt• Good grief. ...

A "scientific study" purported to show that "second-hand tobacco smoke" kills 600,000 people a year was led by the head of the World Health Organization's Tobacco-Free Initiative. Gee, think there was any kind of agenda• ...

New research suggests that all those predictions of markedly higher sea levels because of melting Antarctic ice sheets are wrong. In fact, the research says sea levels will fall — because of decreased gravitational pull and the fact that the bedrock will rise as the weight of the ice drops. The study comes out of Harvard, much to the chagrin, we're sure, of the Chicken Little crowd. Honey, throw another log on the fire — it's still cold outside.
