'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Most are Americans working for money and/or drugs. This series reports how their operations have a major impact on life for residents and the environment along the border — and beyond.

Penguins center Jordan Staal will play in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference final tonight at 7:30 p.m. against the Philadelphia Flyers despite the death of his grandfather. He is expected to return home to Thunder Bay, Ontario Wednesday and be back for Game 4 Thursday in Philadelphia.

Left wing Gary Roberts is expected to play tonight despite missing the morning skate due to illness.

The Penguins lead the best-of-seven series 2-0.
