Season series: First meeting. The Penguins went 1-0-0 against Anaheim last season, winning, 3-1, at Mellon Arena on Jan. 16 in a game notable for LW Matt Cooke just missing a natural hat trick.

Pens streak: lost 1

Who to watch: D Ryan Whitney will play for the first time against the Penguins, who drafted him fifth overall in 2002. Whitney was traded to Anaheim last February in exchange for LW Chris Kunitz and prospect F Eric Tangradi.

Trends n 'at: The Penguins are 6-0-0 on the road for the first time. ... Under head coach Dan Bylsma the Penguins have yet to play two consecutive regular season games without recording at least a point; they lost in regulation at home to Minnesota on Saturday night. ... Anaheim will be without D James Wisniewski, who has been suspended two games by the NHL for an illegal blow to the head of Phoenix's Shane Doan on Saturday night.
