'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. The Steelers are hosting five college prospects today including Wake Forest cornerback Alphonso Smith, Western Michigan safety Louis Delmas and San Jose State defensive end Jarron Gilbert.

All three are projected as first-day picks in the upcoming NFL draft.

The Steelers are also meeting with Louisiana-Lafayette wide receiver/return specialist Jason Chery and Michigan State outside linebacker Brandon Long.

Friday is the last day for prospects to visit NFL teams in advance of the draft.
