Construction equipment strips the skeleton of the former Highlands Mall in Harrison Wednesday.

The demolition will make way for a new Super Wal-Mart/Sam's Club development. The 25-acre retail complex will house Roomful Express furniture, two other large retailers, two restaurants, two fast-food outlets, an ice cream parlor and gas station in addition to Wal-Mart and Sam's Club.

Construction is estimated to cost between $16 million and $20 million. The stores are expected to open in the summer of 2007.
