Real estate notes: Drilling products, services provider moving to Leetsdale
Patriot Drilling Fluids leased 55,000 square feet in Building 555 of Chapman Properties' Leetsdale Industrial Park and will use the space to provide products and services to natural gas drilling operations in Southwestern Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio.
Patriot joins five other energy service companies — including two divisions of National Oilwell Varco, Thru Tubing Solutions and Bri-Chem Corp. — to lease space in Chapman's parks. These additions join longtime tenants Weatherford International, recently purchased by Lubrizol Corp., Frederick Logan Co. and Chemjet.
“The Utica and Marcellus natural gas plays have created an explosion of welcome growth throughout the region, and particularly within industrial parks,” said Tony Rosenberger, president of Chapman Properties. “Leetsdale Industrial Park and Chapman Westport are both ideally located and have the infrastructure and amenities required to fully service the drilling community.”
• Massaro Properties announced that QPS Engineering LLC relocated its office from 1300 Commerce Drive, Coraopolis, to Park West 2, 2000 Cliff Mine Road, Findlay.
QPS provides project management, engineering, integrity services, procurement, field services, environmental services, survey and construction for pipeline, associated oil and gas production facilities. Leasing efforts were handled by Lisa M. Fiumara, sales associate, Massaro Properties; and Jamie Pivarnik, CBRE.
“Working with Jamie and Lisa simplified the task of finding the right office space for my company,” said Rebecca Pfeufer, environmental scientist. “I was guided through the process with the right amount of detail to keep from getting overwhelmed, with enough say to still make it a personalized space. Massaro Properties took my explanation of what I needed in an office space and created a space that is fully functional and has attributes beyond what I could have known to ask for.”
