OpenTable shares top 10 Pittsburgh restaurants

The restaurant reservation service OpenTable has released their Diner's Choice awards for eateries in the Pittsburgh area. The monthly reports are broken out by categories, such as best ambiance , best food and neighborhood gems .

Based on 400,000 reviews, OpenTable claims these are the best overall restaurants in Pittsburgh.

1. Umi Japanese Restaurant tops the list. This member of the Big Burrito Group is located in Shadyside.

2. Mt. Washington's Altius is up there. On the list and also geographically with a spectacular view of the city.

3. Scratch in the North Side's Troy Hill neighborhood is listed third.

4. Tree Tops Restaurant is outside Pittsburgh in the Laurel Highlands. The contemporary cuisine is served in a woodland setting.

5. Vallozzi's is a favorite with their locations in Greensburg and Pittsburgh at 220 5th Ave.

6. Satisfy your Old-World cravings with Huszar's authentic Hungarian dishes.
