Police say Crafton man shot in stomach over parking space dispute
A Crafton man is charged with aggravated assault, accused of shooting his neighbor twice in a dispute over a parking space, according to police.
Crafton officers responded about 8:40 a.m. Tuesday to Barr Avenue for a report of a shooting between neighbors, according to a news release from borough police.
Police said the 36-year-old victim was sitting in his car when Ronnell Sims, 30, allegedly grabbed a gun and shot the victim twice in the stomach, Tribune-Review news partner WPXI-TV reported.
Police told the TV station they had responded to the street before for arguments between the men.
The victim was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition, WPXI reported.
Sims is charged with one count of aggravated assault, court records show. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 22.
