West Mifflin officials are looking to hire new police officers
West Mifflin officials are looking to hire at least one full-time police officer.
The borough is accepting applications through July 30.
Candidates must possess a diploma from an accredited high school or a graduate equivalency diploma, be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license among other requirements, according to a post on the police department’s website.
Application forms are available at the borough office, 1020 Lebanon Road, or online at westmifflinpolice.com.
A $50 non-refundable application fee is also required.
Successful applicants must meet Civil Service rules and regulations including a background check. Those selected will be required to pass a physical and psychological examination.
The police department has about 30 officers, all full-time.
