$1M Powerball winner sold in Castle Shannon
Someone who bought a Powerball ticket in Castle Shannon last week has $1 million waiting for them.
The ticket, sold for Saturday night’s drawing at the Shop ‘n Save on Castle Shannon Boulevard, matched all five white balls: 14-32-34-46-61, according to a release from the Pennsylvania Lottery. The ticket did not match the red Powerball, which was 10.
The store will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
Lottery winners are unknown until prizes are claimed and tickets validated, according to the release. Powerball winners have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
A Delaware County deli sold a ticket worth $100,000 for Saturday’s drawing.
The Powerball jackpot rolled to an estimated $230 million annuity or $135.9 million cash for Wednesday’s drawing.
