Nonprofit seeks volunteers to help sew holiday stockings for overseas military members
Nonprofit group Military Connections is seeking volunteers as its members gear up for their annual sewing day, creating stockings that will be stuffed and shipped to military men and women stationed overseas at Christmas time.
Military Connections and members of the American Sewing Guild will be at Murrysville Alliance Church from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Aug. 23, to create stockings from kits cut out by guild members this spring.
Volunteers are asked to bring a sewing machine in good working order, along with an extension cord and basic sewing supplies.
To RSVP, email Rusty Frankoski at firstname.lastname@example.org .
