Ramp to McKnight Road closing Friday

The closure of the southbound Route 19 ramp to McKnight Road (Route 4003) in McCandless Township will occur Friday, Sept. 29, weather permitting.

Crews will conduct paving work on the southbound Route 19 ramp to McKnight Road from 10 p.m. Friday night to 6 a.m. Saturday morning. To allow the paving work to occur, the ramp will close to traffic and motorists will be detoured.

• Continue southbound on Route 19 past the closed ramp

• Turn left onto Pine Creek Road

• Follow Pine Creek Road to McKnight Road

• End detour

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 825 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices by calling 5-1-1 or by following regional Twitter alerts accessible on the 511PA website.
