Tickets on sale for 19th MLK Unity Breakfast at La Roche College on Jan. 21
Registration is underway for the 19th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Breakfast at La Roche College.
The event is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 21 in the Zappala Student Center.
The Keynote speaker will be Anna E. Hollis, executive director of Amachi Pittsburgh, which empowers young minds to overcome the challenges of parental incarceration and to reach their full potential.
Students from local high schools also are being invited to speak about their school’s involvement in programs that make a positive difference in their school or the community by supporting inclusiveness, unity and reflection on Dr. King’s dream.
Tickets cost $18 for adults and $9 for students. Seating is limited, so early registration is recommended.

The event is sponsored by the North Hills Unity Breakfast Committee, which is made up of members from the AARP, American Association of University Women North Hills Pittsburgh, League of Women Voters of Greater Pittsburgh, North Hills Anti-Racism Coalition, North Hills Community Outreach, North Hills Ebony Women Inc., Pittsburgh North People for Peace and the Sisters of Divine Providence.
The college is located at 9000 Babcock Boulevard in McCandless.
