New Ken training center offers free business idea testing
Penn State New Kensington wants to help potential new business owners figure out if their idea can be successful.
In June, the Corner, Penn State New Kensington's Fifth Avenue entrepreneurial center, will host four free two-hour sessions for aspiring business owners called the "Idea TestLab."
The program, according to organizers, will help attendees "get a better handle on what problem your customer really has, where they hang out, and what value you can provide that others can't."
Classes will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. June 18, 19, 25, and 26. Registration is free. To register, visit the Idea TestLab website at https://bit.ly/2rOcLld.
The Corner is an entrepreneur training center and co-working space that anchors one end of New Kensington's revitalization efforts, called the Corridor of Innovation.
The Corner aims to provide Alle-Kiski Valley entrepreneurs and small businesses a place to start with tools to help them succeed.
The program is part of an initiative called Invent Penn State, a program to bolster economic development and job creation throughout the commonwealth.
Entrepreneurial training at The Corner is provided through LaunchBox, also part of Invent Penn State.
