$400K jackpot-winning Cash 5 ticket sold in Brackenridge
A jackpot-winning Pennsylvania Lottery Cash 5 ticket worth $400,000 was sold in Brackenridge, officials said Tuesday.
Pennsylvania Lottery officials said Brackenridge Beverage sold the winning ticket for Monday’s drawing. The ticket matched all five balls drawn — 4, 25, 31, 33 and 41.
Brackenridge Beverage gets a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket, the lottery said.
A Cash 5 ticket costs $1. Players can select five numbers between 1 and 43 or have the numbers randomly selected by a computer. A player must match all five numbers to win the jackpot. The odds of winning a jackpot are one in 962,598.
More than 25,000 other Cash 5 tickets also won prizes in Monday’s drawing. Prizes are won for matching two, three or four numbers drawn. The chances of winning any prize are about 1 in 11.
Winners are unknown until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. Cash 5 prizes expire one year from the drawing date.
