Plum post office remains closed, reopening date unknown
Work on a Plum post office that has been closed for nearly four months is nearing completion, said Tad Kelley, a U.S. Postal Service spokesman for Western Pennsylvania.
“I have been told the office is close to complete,” Kelley said in an email. He did not have a specific reopening date for the 3100 Leechburg Road location.
Kelley said in November the post office would be back in business by early 2019. The post office there closed Sept. 24 due to “conditions that required corrective measures.”
The post office moved its operations to a Monroeville location at 2630 Monroeville Blvd. The branch’s window service hours are from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday. A retail self-service kiosk is in the lobby, which is open 24 hours a day.
