State names 2018 Teacher of the Year
A teacher from Lycoming County has been named 2018 Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year.
Social studies teacher Jennifer R. Wahl, who has taught at Loyalsock Township High School for 11 years, was nominated by students, parents, peers and members of the community for her achievements inside and outside the classroom.
Wahl was one of 12 nominees from across the state. In this role, she will represent Pennsylvania in next year's National Teacher of the Year competition.
The Teacher of the Year program is co-sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Pennsylvania chapter of the National State Teacher of the Year, which was founded in 1995.
