Man jailed on charges of setting fire to White Township home
An Indiana man has been jailed for allegedly setting fire to a manufactured home in White Township last month, state police at Indiana said Tuesday.
The suspect, John Allen Wilson, 21, is accused of using a lighter on March 24 to ignite combustible material in the interior of the home at on Knox Avenue and to a carport and detached shed, police said. The fire was reported at 4:33 p.m. and a suspect was seen at the fire, police said.
Police did not provide information on the extent of damage to the residence.
Wilson was charged with three felony counts of arson and single counts of risking a catastrophe, criminal mischief, dangerous burning and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned before Blairsville District Judge Jennifer L. Rega and placed in the Indiana County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.
Wilson is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before Rega on April 20.
