Big Brothers Big Sisters of Laurel Region CEO announces resignation
The CEO and executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Laurel Region announced her resignation Wednesday.
Kelli Belanger, who served as CEO of the Greensburg-based organization for 14 years, said she has decided it’s time to move on from her position.
“While I will always dearly treasure my time spent with Big Brothers Big Sisters and working closely with all of you, I am excited to begin the next set of adventures coming my way,” she wrote in an email.
Over the next eight weeks, Belanger will help the board of directors with transition planning so “critical services to children are not interrupted.”
Belanger, 43, and board president Dean Thompson could not be immediately reached for comment Wednesday night.
Big Brothers Big Sisters matches children with a mentor to provide individual services based on the child’s interests and needs.
