Fox Chapel golfer Meyer shines in clutch

Gregor Meyer, a sophomore on the Fox Chapel boys golf team, was a big part of the Foxes' success on the links this season. Two weeks ago, he won the WPIAL individual tournament, and last week he was the medalist in the WPIAL team semifinals. He has been playing golf since he was 8 and also plays on the FC basketball team.

He hopes to continue playing golf in college where his plans are to major in business. For his efforts, he is The Herald Spotlight Athlete.

Have you ever had a hole-in-one?

No. I did come within 2 inches once.

Who are your favorite golfers?

Dustin Johnson and Jason Day.

If you weren't involved in golf or basketball, what sport would you be playing?

Football. I always wanted to play football.

Do you watch any reality TV shows?

No.

Who would you like to see disappear from public view?

Hillary Clinton.

Would you rather see a Steelers, Penguins or Pirates game?

Tough one. I'll go with a Steelers game.

Who would be your dream date?

Kim Kardashian.

What is your favorite TV show?

“Big Bang Theory.”

What would make up your all-time favorite meal?

Buffalo chicken wings and General Tso's chicken.

What is your favorite vacation spot?

Stone Harbor, N.J.

If you could go anywhere you've never been, where would you go?

Ireland.

What was your favorite Halloween costume as a kid?

Power Ranger.

What junk food do you have a weakness for?

Skittles or donuts.

Is there a food you refuse to eat?

Guacamole.

Who makes the best pizza in Pittsburgh?
