Jeannette grad Kareem Hall headed for Lackawanna
With patience and perseverance, Kareem Hall is working his way back into football form.
The former Jeannette standout running back announced last week he will attend Lackawanna College in Scranton, where he will reunite with another former Jeannette player, freshman defensive back Robert Kennedy.
Hall, the younger brother of former Jeannette and Ohio State running back Jordan Hall, suffered an Achilles injury during a light practice leading up to a local all-star game in summer 2017. He went to Bowling Green and planned to earn his way into a Division I-level backfield. Instead, he became a frustrated bystander.
“I chose it because I felt like it was the best option for me after the staff at Bowling Green got fired,” Hall said.
Hall, though, worked through the injury and decided to transfer to restart his college career.
“I’m really just starting to feel like myself again after the long injury process,” Hall said. “So I got a big chip on my shoulder. I feel like people forgot about me.”
Hall (5-foot-9, 190 pounds) ran for 1,089 yards and scored 21 touchdowns as a senior at Jeannette.
