• In the Twi-Night Trap League on April 4, Connellsville finished in first place with a score of 198. Hecla (194), Youngwood (193), Ruffsdale (190) and East Huntingdon (189) rounded out the scoring. Connellsville (15) leads the season standings, followed by Hecla (9.5), Ruffsdale (8.5), East Huntingdon (7) and Youngwood (5). Next week’s shoot will be at Youngwood Sportsmen’s.
• In the Pittsburgh and Suburban Rifle League on March 27, Frazier-Simplex beat Murrysville, 1,480-1,442,a nd Allegheny defeated Irwin Post 228, 1,412-1,151. On April 3, Frazier-Simplex (15-0) topped Dormont-Mt. Lebanon (10-4), 1,491-1,463, and Murrysville (5-10) beat Irwin Post 228 (0-14), 1,456-1,407. Allegheny (6-8) was idle. Frazier-Simplex’s Kayla Andreoli shot 297 to post the high overall score and high female and junior score in Week 19 and also shot 300 for the top marks in Week 20. Frazier-Simplex’s Jim Mounts was the high senior with a 296.

• West Penn Sportsmen’s Club in Murrysville will host a ham shoot April 14. Registration is from 10 a.m.-noon. Cost is $14 for 50 trap singles or 50 sporting clays. The event is open to the public. Visit www.wpscclays.org for more information.
• Wildlife for Everyone will hold its Sporting Clay Classic on May 3 at Seven Springs Mountain Resort Sporting Clay Facility. Participants will shoot 100 rounds at 15 stations. • Sporting clays is closed for the winter at West Penn Sportsmen’s Club, but five stand is open Thursdays from 5-8 p.m. and from 10 a.m.-noon Sundays. Cost is $5 for 25 targets for members. Nonmembers are $6 per round.

• White Oak Rod and Gun Club has CMP shoots from 9-11 a.m. the second Sunday of each month. There are indoor 3-D archery shoots from 6-9 p.m. Thursdays. Cost is $3 for adults, $1 for children ages 12-16 and free to those 11 and younger and 65 and older. Skeet and five-stand shoots are 7-9 p.m. Wednesdays, Fridays and on sporting clays Sundays. • East Huntingdon Sportsmen’s Association has trap practice at 6 p.m. Mondays. Cost is $3 for a round of 25 birds. The public is welcome. • Pony Farm Sportsmen’s Club in Kittanning has open trap nights at 6 p.m. Fridays. The public is welcome to use the lighted ranges. The full kitchen is open for all events.
