MONDAY's result

braves 7, PIRATES 5

Ding, Ding, Ding: Three Pirates hit solo home runs, as Starling Marte hit his first of the spring in the fourth inning, Sean Rodriguez hit his third in the sixth and Max Moroff hit his first in the eighth.

Double trouble: Chad Kuhl, who pitched the first 21⁄3 innings, and Trevor Williams combined to allow nine hits, six runs (all earned) and three walks, with five strikeouts.

Loaded situation: Christian Colon hit a bases-loaded double in the fifth to give the Braves a 6-1 lead. Max Moroff drew a bases-loaded walk to score Jacob Stallings in the top of the ninth.
