Pirates minor league report: July 20, 2018
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 51-45) lost 6-5 against Charlotte (White Sox) in 10 innings. 2B Adam Frazier went 3 for 5 with one run scored and one RBI. Casey Sadler took the loss after walking one and giving up a sacrifice fly in the 10th.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 51-43) won 10-8 over Reading (Phillies) in seven innings for the first game of the doubleheader. The 1-2-3-4 spots dominated the game for the Curve, going a combined 7 for 13, scoring eight of the ten runs and bringing in all ten runs for the Curve. LF Bryan Reynolds (.267) and 1B Will Craig (.248) each homered twice, including back-to-back homers in the ninth to take the lead and add some insurance. Reynolds, in the three-spot, finished 2 for 4, scoring three runs and logging three RBIs. Craig, batting cleanup, went 2 for 4, scoring two runs and bringing in four. SS Cole Tucker (.260) also had a big day in the leadoff spot, going 2 for 3, scoring two runs, had two RBIs and stole three bases. RHP Bret Helton (5-5, 5.36 ERA) got the win in relief, going two innings, giving up four earned runs and RHP Tate Scioneaux (2-1, 4.81 ERA) closed out the ninth, earning him his fifth save of the season.

BRADENTON (High-A, 46-48) lost 4-2 to Daytona (Reds). The Marauders were not able to string together hits and move the base runners, collecting six hits, just one for extra bases. 1B Albert Baur (.294) was the only one to really produce at the plate, going 2 for 4 with a double and RBI. RHP Mike Wallace (4-7, 4.50 ERA) relieved starter RHP Nick Burdi (0-0, 4.50 ERA) in his debut, after getting hurt in the first, completing the inning, giving up one run and striking out three. Wallace ended up taking the loss, going six innings and giving up two earned runs.

WEST VIRGINIA (Low-A, 50-42) game at Lexington (Royals) was postponed because of weather. The game will be made up Saturday as part of a doubleheader. RHP Travis MacGregor (1-2, 5.18 ERA) is scheduled to get the start on the mound for the Power in the first game.

WEST VIRGINIA (Short Season-A, 13-21) beat Williamsport (Phillies), 8-1. CF Travis Swaggerty went 1 for 4 with an RBI and two strikeouts. RF Brett Kinneman wents 2 for 4 with a run scored and a double. 2B Raul Siri had two hits, including a second-inning home run, and scored twice.

WASHINGTON (Frontier League, 32-26) won 5-2 over River City. The Wild Things got things going early and stayed in control the rest of the game, holding onto their 5-0 lead, late. LF Roman Collins (.281) went 2 for 4 with a double, single and stolen base and had two RBIs and SS Brett Marr (.265) added a double, going 1 for 4. RF Hector Roa (.308) and DH Reydel Medina (.302) each homered with solo shots. Starting RHP Chase Cunningham (4-3, 5.15 ERA) had a quality start and got the win, giving up two earned runs and struck out two in his seven innings. RHP Zach Strecker (3-3, 0.73 ERA) closed out the ninth in order, giving him save number 12 on the season.
