Steelers have just one change on inactives list for game vs. Panthers
With only a three-day break between games, the Pittsburgh Steelers will keep their 53-man roster largely intact Thursday night when they play the Carolina Panthers at Heinz Field.
Six of the seven players on the inactive list Sunday against Baltimore also will sit out the prime-time game Thursday. The exception is nose tackle Dan McCullers, who injured his knee Sunday and is inactive.
McCullers will be replaced by defensive end L.T. Walton, who is active for the third time this season and the first time in seven games.
The other inactive players are right tackle Marcus Gilbert, wide receiver Justin Hunter, cornerback Brian Allen, safety Marcus Allen, tackle Zach Banner, and quarterback Mason Rudolph.
Gilbert will miss his third game in a row with a knee injury. Matt Feiler will start again in Gilbert’s absence.
Gilbert and McCullers were ruled out Wednesday by coach Mike Tomlin.
Wide receiver Antonio Brown, who was cited by police earlier Thursday for driving in excess of 100 miles per hour on McKnight Road, is in uniform.
Inactive for Carolina are wide receiver Torrey Smith, cornerback Josh Hawkins, running back Cameron Artis-Payne, linebacker Andre Smith, guard Brendan Mahon, defensive end Bryan Cox Jr., and defensive end Marquis Haynes.
