What, exactly, are the 0-10 Bengals trying to do heading into Steelers matchup?
So, wait.
The Steelers play on Sunday? They actually have another game? See, I thought we were just going to argue about the last 14 seconds of the defeat in Cleveland last Thursday for the final six weeks of the season.
I must’ve gotten some bad information. That’s probably Mason Rudolph’s fault.
Well, if you are coming off a bad loss to a division rival and are suffering from a ton of injuries and a week’s worth of distractions from “GarrettGate,” who better to play than the 0-10 Cincinnati Bengals?
With backup quarterback Ryan Finley, no less.
The Bengals were pushovers at Heinz Field in Week 4. The Steelers steamrolled them 27-3 in a game that was only kept close by a conservative wildcat-influenced offense from the Steelers.
Frankly, it’s one that I think the Steelers should unfold again this week since they are so banged up at wide receiver and the offensive line was so spotty pass-blocking last week.
I talk with Bengals play-by-play man Dan Hoard about that topic and plenty more involving the Bengals.
Have they been tanking? Is that offensive line any better than it was in Week 4? We tackle those questions.
We also look at the benching of Andy Dalton, the complaints from Tyler Boyd and the recent statistical rise of Joe Mixon.
That, and why Dan’s play-by-play partner Dave Lapham wants to kill me.
