Franklin Regional grad Aris Lamanna competes for Coastal Carolina during the 2025 season.

Goalkeeper Aris Lamanna played the entire women’s soccer season for Coastal Carolina — all 1,440 minutes — with a torn labrum.

The former Franklin Regional standout put off surgery until mid-November, and she announced the procedure went well.

If she had any discomfort or restraints this fall, she didn’t show it.

Lamanna anchored a sound defense while allowing the sixth-fewest goals in a season in team history (18), while taking seventh place in the program record book with her 1.13 goals-against average.

She had 48 saves, a .727 save percentage and four shutouts.

“Having my name in the Coastal Carolina record books is an extreme honor,” Lamanna told GoCCUSports.com. “When I came here, my goal was to work hard, grow as a player and help my team as much as possible. I’m so grateful to have coaches and teammates who push me to be the best I can be every day.

“I feel my composure and decision-making under pressure have improved the most this season. Every game presented different situations, and I felt comfortable playing with the ball at my feet while being pressured.”

The Chantacleers finished 3-5-8 overall and 0-2-8 in the Sun Belt Conference.

They will look to improve next season with a healthier Lamanna in net.

“Aris’s contribution goes far beyond her ability to keep the ball out of the net,” Coastal Carolina coach Jo Chubb said. “She’s a leader on and off the field and a true professional with big dreams. She’s a student of the game with a constant ambition to get better. That’s what sets her apart.

“Her confidence and mentality have developed tremendously. She’s always been a great shot stopper, but now she reads the game and recognizes actions at a much deeper level, improving her decision-making and communication with teammates.”
