Woman fatally shot in forehead
A woman was fatally shot Saturday morning outside a home in the St. Clair Village public housing complex.
Monica Gay, 38, whose address was not available, was shot in the forehead in the front yard of a home in the 700 block of Cresswell Street, police Lt. Daniel Herrmann said.
Gay was visiting family. It was not clear where she lived, police said.
Someone called 911 at 11:41 a.m. Paramedics found Gay alive and lying in the yard. She was taken by ambulance to UPMC Mercy in Uptown where she died, police said.

Cresswell Street was the scene of another deadly shooting this year.
Police charged Luzay Watson with criminal homicide, firearms violations and other crimes in the May 14 shooting death of Davon Young, 30. Young was shot in the 1000 block of Cresswell while walking to an apartment.
On May 7, police reported a 34-year-old man was stabbed, but not killed, in a home on Cresswell Street.
The Pittsburgh Housing Authority plans to demolish the 131-unit complex because of persistent problems with crime and an occupancy level that has dropped to 52 percent. About 200 people live there.
In 2008, there were two homicides and 27 aggravated assaults in the neighborhood, according to police crime statistics
