Leaf pick up has already started in the borough of Scottdale. Please bag them and place the bags on the front curb of your property. The street crew employees will pick the bags up at their convenience. The drop off locations for newspapers, magazines, catalogs and phone books is the recycling building on Crescent Street, which has 24-hour access. Some farmers use newspaper for animal bedding. The Everson Civic Association will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the VFW, Graff Street. Attend the meeting and become a part of the group which is interested in the Everson beautification and Christmas lighting project.
The Everson Borough Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the borough building, it was rescheduled from last Monday due to a lack of quorum.

Congratulations to Kelsey Love on being named 2004-05 homecoming queen for Southmoreland High School. My understanding is the individual is chosen by their peers, who cast votes. All the young ladies on the homecoming court are to be commended.
