Car club cruises Kittanning
'If you can't get the cars out, and people can't see them, there's no point to having them,' said Dave Reinehr, one of group's 67 members.
'A lot of times people have questions, and we say if you want to look go ahead and look.'
Among the classics were a 1927 Street Rod Model-T truck, 1937 Chrysler and Chevrolet, 1950 Mercury, 1955 Oldsmobile 98, 1957 Ford Thunderbird, 1960 Ford Mustang, 1963 Rambler American, 1965 Ford Galaxy, 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible, 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle and Nova, 1972 Pontiac Lamans, 1973 Chevrolet Caprice and a 1974 Volkswagon Karmann Ghiaa.
The tour, which Reinehr said began on Friday, took the group to Clearfield County and Grice's Car Museum, then on to Punxsutawney, before rearing back for home and traveling through Smicksburg and the borough yesterday.
'We just like to pick a place, and then go,' said Reinehr.
According to Reinehr, the purpose of the club, which was founded in 1957, is to preserve, restore, and use antique motor vehicles, and to bring together and create a fellowship between members and a gathering point for information that will assist members in their hobby.
